Student Supports Resources
Mathify
The Algoma District School Board offers Mathify (formerly Homework Help) to students in grades 7 through 10. This is a free and confidential support for students needing help with math homework. Students can get help online from a Certified Math Teacher during the evening OR try out interactive tutorials. Most of the features are offered seven days a week, 24 hours per day. Information on how to sign up for and access the Homework Help site is available from classroom teachers. You can also go to follow this link to get started.
e-Learning
e-Learning - taking courses over the Internet - is a great opportunity available to students in the Algoma District School Board. Courses are offered online to help give students more flexibility in the path they follow through high school, which leads to greater opportunities for success down the road.
e-Learning courses are much like face-to-face courses, except that the communication between students and the teacher happens in a secure online website. All of the courses offered to ADSB students are taught by certified Ontario teachers. Our online courses help students meet the same expectations as face-to-face courses, with the advantage of having flexibility for scheduling.
If you're interested in taking an e-Learning course, contact your Guidance or Student Services department at your school. Not attending school right now, or have other questions? Call ADSB's e-Learning Contact at (705) 945-7111 x10216.
